The Critical Pedagogies Reading Group is a space to discuss and share practices of critical pedagogy in the context of higher education. As a group, we would like to map and engage in the histories, literature and issues of critical pedagogies and share and experiment with methods used in critical pedagogical practices. We hope to create a space to discuss the limits and opportunities of critical pedagogy in the current context of increasing fees, marketisation and undemocratic governance of Higher Education.
We meet twice a term to discuss readings. In 2021/2022 we will continue to meet online. The reading group is open to everyone. If you plan to attend a session please notify Jennifer Fraser (firstname.lastname@example.org) so that you receive the link to join the meeting.
To find out more about the reading group or to join the mailing list please contact: Jennifer Fraser, University of Westminster (email@example.com) or Dale Mineshima-Lowe, Birkbeck, University of London (firstname.lastname@example.org)
