Reading Group

The Critical Pedagogies Reading Group is a space to discuss and share practices of critical pedagogy in the context of higher education. We are a community that aims to foster and support those who are interested in critical discussions about those groups underrepresented and often precariatised within the academy. Our aim is to foster dialogue, critical evaluation and explore practical methods to address these issues and challenges within the academy. We welcome all who share our interest in creating a supportive community where exploration and sharing are respected. Our meetings are informal but structured – often with a reading, TEDTalk or other resource to explore on the topic for the meeting.

We meet twice a term to discuss readings.  The reading group is open to everyone.  The group is currently convened by Jennifer Fraser (University of Westminster), Mrinalini Greedharry (Laurentian University) and Dale Mineshima-Lowe (Birkbeck, University of London).

If you would like to learn more about the group or get updates on our meetings please subscribe to our Jisc email list at https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?SUBED1=CPG&A=1

If you plan to attend a session please notify Dale Mineshima-Lowe (d.mineshima-lowe@bbk.ac.uk) so that you receive the link to join the meeting.
